Ingredients:

3 tbsp. olive oil 2 tbsp. cider vinegar 3 tbsp. golden syrup sugar 1 tbsp. roughly chopped thyme leaves 4 pork sausages, twisted in half and cut 8 thin rashers bacon 4 chicken thighs 6 medium potatoes, halved 8 small carrots, peeled 2 parsnips, peeled and halved 2 medium red onions, peeled and quartered Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

To prepare the perfect, no-fuss Sunday roast meal, preheat your oven to 200°C, and in a bowl, mix together the olive oil, vinegar, sugar, thyme and a generous dash of salt and pepper for flavour. Wrap each individual sausage half in bacon, and place in a large roasting tin. Add in the chicken thighs, potatoes, carrots, parsnips and onions, drizzle on the olive oil mixture and rub everything well to coat, making sure the chicken is skin-side up.

Roast on the middle shelf of the oven for 35 to 40 minutes, turning the vegetables and sausages halfway through and basting everything with the juices in the tin. When the chicken skin is crisp and golden and the vegetables are glazed and tender, your roast is ready.
